Playground Attendant and Party Host – Job Description
Located in Brownsburg, Indiana, Kid’s Planet Indoor Playground and Party Center is a safe, clean, healthy play environment that both children and adults will enjoy. We continuously strive for a high-level of genuine customer services and to maintain environmentally responsible practices. We have a full on-site snack bar and pizza that offers choices to all our patrons and provides catering for all our birthday events. Position: Playground Attendant and Party Host
Target Age: 16+
Job Duties:
- Customer services including POS, checking guests in and out.
- Controlling play environment
- Maintaining sales receipts and records
- Cash and credit cards handling.
- Hosting parties and events.
- Conducting kid activities such as art and craft, simple face painting, etc.
- Supervising guests and ensuring safe place
- Basic food and beverage services
- Housekeeping and cleaning
Qualifications:
- Verifiable experience in retail or restaurant and personnel management is required.
- Must be available to work weekends.
- Desire to work in children-oriented atmosphere is a must.

Rules and regulations:
Honesty: Honesty is a very important aspect of this job. Therefore, we place the utmost emphasis on honest employees. Once hired, you will be expected to deal with guests, other employees, management, and the store in a truthful manner. Aspects of honesty include, but are not limited to: accurate cash handling, proper use of equipment, and careful maintenance of inventory. In addition, we expect that you will not take advantage of our store by offering free and/or discounted food, merchandise, gift certificates, etc. to your family or friends.
Drugs, Alcohol, and Tobacco: At Kid’s Planet, we insist on a drug, alcohol, and tobacco free environment. For this reason, we enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy with regard to the aforementioned items. Any employees who come to work under the influence of or who is found in possession of drugs and/or alcohol will be terminated immediately. Further, all employees are subject to random drug testing per our discretion.
Appearance: Because of the high visibility of our employees, we require a clean-cut, uniformed appearance. Upon hire, all employees will be issued two uniform shirts and should employees require additional shirts they may be purchased from management. This uniform is to be worn in a neat (clean and pressed) manner during all scheduled shifts. Personal hygiene is also a primary concern. Our employees come into direct contact with our customers on a daily basic. Therefore, we ask that you adhere to the following requirements: NO extreme hairstyles, NO excessive makeup and/or jewelry, NO facial piercings, NO visible tattoos, etc.
Conduct: Once again, because our employees come in direct contact with our guests daily, good people skills are critical to this job. Courteous, respectful, and responsible employee/customer relations are a MUST!
Schedule: We expect you to show up on time for all scheduled shifts. Tardiness and absence without appropriate notices are unacceptable. Scheduling requests must be submitted at least 10 days in advance to ensure that both your needs as well as the store’s schedule allows. Please be aware that Kid’s Planet conducts business during evenings, weekends, summer months, and holiday periods.
